2024 Application CLOSED
Ready to host your own art show, but don’t have a venue? Art Work Gallery is for you.
Who’s the ideal candidate?
Artists who have a cohesive body of work and are ready to run and promote their own exhibition.
Interested? Here’s the Process:
Submit a gallery application for review. The application fee is non-refundable.
Accepted artists will be required to pay an additional $75 fee that includes access to the Art Work Gallery Tool Kit.
The Tool Kit includes an online mini-course for marketing and promoting the show, a handbook with best practices for showing at Art Work, and customized digital graphics to promote the show.
The artist is responsible for hanging their show the weekend before the opening reception.
The artist is responsible for hosting the opening reception (including set up, supplying refreshments, supervising the event, and cleaning up).
The gallery may be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays if the artist supervises the space. This time can be used for artist lectures or Q&A sessions if desired. Dates and times must be determined in advance.
The artist is responsible for taking down the show the weekend before the following opening reception.
At the end of the show, artists must complete a form declaring the number of pieces sold and make a payment to the William James Group of 30% of all sales.
Accepted Art
We are only accepting 2D art at this time. All art must be framed, wired, and ready to hang. Gallery-wrapped canvas or works on wood cradled panel are accepted as a frame; no staples or tape showing. Sawtooth hangers are not accepted.
This gallery functions as a rentable conference room to a wide variety of demographics. Your submission must be appropriate for all ages.
