Dani Dimon is a multi media artist living and practicing in eastern Pennsylvania. Her photography practice features primarily diary-style, slice-of-life imagery focusing on finding the dynamic softness and unique inconsistencies of the day-to-day. She finds particular interest in what some would consider flawed, irregular, or inconsequential, fleeting moments. Just as silence can be thunderous, observing the details of daily life can be extraordinary.

Bonnie Providence

Instagram: @BonnieProvidence

Bonnie Providence is a Phoenixville-based artist who finds solace in the flow-state of creative expression, using art not merely as a form of communication but as a meditative practice.  Drawing inspiration from the natural world, Bonnie's photographic lens gravitates towards what is often overlooked or seen as inconsequential. In the delicate dance between creation and contemplation, Bonnie pairs their imagery with layers of handwritten text, abstracting what is legible and weaving threads of introspection into the fabric of their work. Whether wandering through the edges of wild spaces or delving into the unkempt corners of their mind, Bonnie strives to capture the ineffable

Show Statement

Susurration - a soft, low noise like someone whispering - is a unique collection of photos that explore how Dani Dimon and Bonnie Providence have leaned on their artistic practices as means to engage with the world around them. What started as an experiment when Bonnie asked Dani if they would like to play a game of telephone, exchanging rolls of film and photographing over each others' work, quickly evolved into an exciting collaboration when the first negatives were processed.

The parallels of their minds and the asynchronous communication are captured by the rolls of film, serendipitously splitting each frame down the middle with overlapping images. Like whispering across a canyon and having someone receive your message perfectly on the other side, this project has become a call and response between the artists as they navigate the complexities of life.
