Magazine Release Party

Mark your calendars for the Issue No. 02 Release Party on 10/8/21! This event celebrates the fall issue of the PXV Art Mag, Pandemic Art. In this magazine, 25 local artists share what they were creating in the early days of the 2020 quarantine and shutdown. They also give insight into how their studio practice and mindset were influenced that year, as well as today. This issue also includes articles on the road block barrier murals on Bridge Street, the RE:create Installation from January 2021, impacts on the performing arts at Facetime Theatre, and a reflection from Anna Kocher on the lasting impacts of 2020.

The Release Party at the Facetime Theatre in the Franklin Commons will showcase artwork from artists in the magazine and pieces from the RE:create Installation. Attendees will get a behind the scenes look at the Facetime Theatre, checkout classroom spaces, and chat with staff members. A limited edition PXV Art Mag print, featuring hand drawn rainbows from the RE:create Installation, will be free for anyone attending the release party (while supplies last). Preordered magazines will also be available for pickup.
