Delirium Photo Collective
A new creative space opens on January 18, 2025, at 218 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. See what Delirium Photo Collective is all about in our interview below!
Emily: What is Delirium Photo Collective?
Drew: Delirium will hopefully be many things to many people. But at its core, Delirium is made
up of 4 pillars.
Camera Shop: We are super passionate about film cameras and will be offering 35mm, medium format, and some large format options in the shop! All of our film cameras are tested and ready to shoot.
Film development: Though we will not be developing film in house, we are working with an incredible film lab in Reading, PA. Think of us as your local film drop box. No need to print out a label and stop by the post office. Come in and drop it off OR drop it in our after-hours film drop box. We will be offering 35mm, 120, and 110 film processing!
Tintype Studio: The most unique part of Delirium is our Tintype portrait studio. A tintype is a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted photo made on a piece of metal. They date back to the 1850’s and were one of the earliest forms of photography. When you schedule your tintype portrait, you get a look into the entire process from start to finish. Each portrait is carefully hand crafted and takes roughly 20 minutes to make. Check out our tintypist and schedule your appointment today! www.goldentintype.com
Community: More than anything we want to be a part of this amazing community. We want to offer workshops, galleries, clubs and more. This is open-ended at the moment, but some ideas include - Tintype workshops, intro to film photography workshop, at-home film development workshops, photo walks/critiques, print making tutorials, and print of the month club. If any of this sounds interesting to you or you would like to bring your own ideas forward, please reach out or stop by, we would love to collaborate!
E: Who are the founders of Delirium Photo Collective?
D: Jack Mullen & Drew Pignatelli. Two guys who wanted to build something that didn’t exist in the environment that we grew up in.
E: What made you choose Phoenixville as the home for your shop?
D: Phoenixville has an incredible community of artists, and we knew immediately that we wanted to be a part of it. When looking into Camera shops/Film development in this area, we noticed there wasn’t anything close by and thought it would be the perfect place to open up shop!
E: How can the community be a part of what you’re bringing to Phoenixville?
We really want this to be collaborative and want to help artists of all levels bring their ideas to life. While our passions lie within the world of photography, we are open to any type of art. Seriously, stop by and pitch us an idea, we are very open and excited to bring cool ideas to life!
