Artist Bio

Mark Zimmerman is an abstract expressionist artist and musician from Phoenixville, PA. With a versatile approach to art, Mark explores multiple mediums, with an emphasis on acrylic. His work is characterized by attention to texture, creating dynamic and engaging compositions that invite viewers to immerse themselves in layers of color and form. Mark takes great pride in making as much of the medium he uses as possible, wanting to have his hands on as much of the process as he can.

In addition to his abstract pieces, Mark is also known for his portraits of birds. He seeks to capture the nobility of these creatures, inviting viewers to contemplate their beauty and grace.

When he's not painting, Mark channels creativity into music, furthering his artistic repertoire and infusing his work with rhythmic energy.

Artist Statement

In my artistic exploration, I keep my abstract work open to interpretation. I believe everyone makes a unique connection to art. I hold that all connections and thoughts are valid. My fascination with birds is expressed through portrait-style paintings, a deliberate attempt to capture their inherent nobility.

Embracing constant experimentation, I venture into different styles and mediums to avoid repetition and burnout. Through all of this, I seek to evoke emotions and foster connections between people and art.
